Winter Photo Tour for White-tailed Eagles from Hides, in Hortobagy area, Hungary. With around 200 Eagles around, you have good chances to take exceptional photos of behavior, flight, feeding of this magnificent birds.
In winter, a good time for Eagles photography, we bring a new phototour, in Hortobagy National Park, from professional hides for photographers, you can shoot for 3 days, from morning to evening different species of Eagles and other birds species.
The program start in Hortobagy Park, you have included 3 days in different hides (to have new background every day), accommodation in a nice local guesthouse, half board and pick-up/drop-off from Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Oradea (RO) or Budapest (HU).

Program
Day 1: The guide will depart early in the morning from Brasov to Hortobagy, if you are in Cluj or Oradea, will inform you what time will be in your area. Around 6PM will be in Hortobagy, to the accommodation. If you need transfer from Budapest, you’ll be picked up at 4PM (or later if your flight it’s later then this).
Days 2-4: Early breakfast and transfer to hides. At 5:30AM you have to be in hide, for best results. Photo session is until 5PM. The transfer is done with a 4×4 car, from the accommodation to the hides.
The lunch can be provided by the guesthouse (12 euro/pers) or you can bring it with you.
The dinner is to the guesthouse.
Day 5: After a relaxed breakfast (8AM.), you’ll be transferred back.

Accommodation
Your accommodation for this photo tour is made in double or single rooms (by your request). All room have en-suite bathrooms.
The hides
Are 3 different hides for White-tailed Eagles where also other species can be photographed. Also, a passerine drinking hide is available if you want more diversity.
Climate
In winter the weather is generally cold with daytime temperature is ranging between -15 and 5C. All the hides are heated and 15-20C is the normal temperature inside hides.
What to bring
For photography – tripod, lenses from wide to tele (400 to 600mm), binocular.
For photographers – warm clothing and footwear.
Booking
Bookings are based on 30% deposit. You can pay by card, bank transfer, Revolut or PayPal.
More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip ( you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or card (LEI/RON or EURO).
Group Confirmation
This program is running with minimum 4 persons subscribed. IF less then 4 persons subscribe, the tour is canceled and you’ll be fully refunded.
