Nature Intensive = 4h day trip to the Danube Delta, with a biologist Guide, with slow speed and large quantity of information about Danube Delta’s NATURE. You’ll learn about birds, mammals, insects, amphibians, plants etc.
The boat for this trip is an OPEN BOAT, with no roof or walls, only with an wide view over the Danube Delta’s nature. Is safe and stable, with benches with backrests and pillows. The boat was designed especially for tourism, for shallow waters so can enter in all beautiful places.
The trip is SLOW, with an average speed of less than 10 km/h, to give you time to observe everything that the guide show you, without being pressed by time.
We chose to do this trip for only 4 hours because it is proved that human attention to a subject can be maintained for up to 4 hours. In these 4 hours we want to offer you Nature Intensive.
Maximum of 10 places a day are available for this trip and the trip days are only Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so we recommend you early booking.
As a route, you will navigate about 2 km on the Danube, downstream, then on Canals 36 and Sontea. From here, the captain of the boat, a professional boat driver, together with the guide, a good fauna / flora / eco specialist, will decide the route followed, depending on the season, the water level and the fresh information we have about the places of feeding or migrating birds.
We provide you with a binocular, so you can watch birds, because we will not approach them (or the nesting places) below their tolerance limit. It’s much more interesting to watch birds during their activities than to see them frightened and running from the fast boats.Nature conservation is our philosophy.
The guide – very passionate about the Danube Delta, is actively involved in research projects in the fields of biology and ecology, a very good acquaintance of the places, flora and fauna of the Danube Delta.
The guiding is very intensive, biology based, about the Danube Delta Nature, it’s much more then an usual guiding.
Target clients: Nature enthusiasts, birders, people used with a scientific technical language.
