Photo Tour in Dobrogea, the mainland near the Danube Delta, for European Bee-eater, European Roller and Souslik. You’ll shoot from mobile hides which offers a lot of flexibility in the distance and position from the subjects.
We subscribe photographers from our Danube Delta Photo Tours, to create a shared group. The final price is the price according to the number of persons subscribed, from the table below. Of course, can be an extension to all our private photo tours to the Danube Delta.
You’ll have: Specialist guide, 2 mornings and 2 avenings for mobile hides photography, accommodation, full board and transfers to/from Tulcea.

- Transfers from Tulcea to Dobrogea area and back to Tulcea.

Itinerary
Day 1
Even if the extension is before or after the Danube Delta tour, we’ll pick you up from Tulcea at 14:00 and transfer you to Dobrogea area (1h drive).
Evening session for European Roller or Souslik, also European Bee-eater, Little Owl, Common Starling or other species can encounter.
Accommodation and dinner to a local guesthouse.
Day 2
At sunrise, morning session for European Bee-eaters (Rollers, Little Owls, Starlings), in perfect light. The session is about 4h then go back to the accommodation for breakfast and rest.
Late lunch then you’ll depart for evening session, for the last 4 hours of light. Sousliks are our target but also Northern or Isabelline Wheatear, raptors in flight or Hoopoe can encounter.
Day 3
At sunrise, morning session for European Bee-eaters (Rollers, Little Owls, Starlings), in perfect light, with different setup and background.
The session is about 4h then go back to the accommodation for breakfast and Transfer to Tulcea. You’ll be in Tulcea around 13:00.
Mobile hides
Are tents designed for wildlife photography, of very ood quality. With the tent, you’ll receive also a chair, well paired in height for it.
Bookings
Request a booking implies acceptance of the terms and conditions.
Bookings are based on a 30% deposit of the price of the program.
The rest of the payment have to be done 30 days before the tour start. If the tour is booked less then 30 days before departure, the full price will be paid.
Cancellation Policy:
More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
Personal Equipment
- Clothes suitable for this activity, for every season apart
- Color of the clothes is also very important. Please bring your clothes in colors more natural, as close to the colors of nature surrounding. Camouflage pattern on brown are best.
- Also, to the hides, noisy clothes (kind of waterproof jackets) are to avoid, use fleece instead.
Photo gear
Binoculars, photo camera, tele lenses (400-600mm), tripod(s), enough batteries and memory cards.
