An extension to our birdwatching tours, you can have also a BEARS watching tour to the Capathian Mountains, the place with the largest Bears population in Europe. Beside Bears, forest birds and other mammals can be seen in this tour.
We sell this tour ONLY as an extension of our birding tours to the Danube Delta / Dobrogea, can be before or after the main tour, according to the table. Of course, it can be sold as an extension to our private tours also, by request, on other dates then table.
You have included a specialist guide, a morning tour to birds and mammals, one session to a bears hide in the afternoon, 2 nights of accommodation, full board, transfer from/to Bucharest and from/to Tulcea to Transylvania.

Itinerary
Day 1
IF – The extension is before the tour, we’ll pick you up from Bucharest or Brasov and transfer you to Transylvania (5:30h drive).
IF – The extension is after the tour, we’ll transfer you from Tulcea to Transylvania.
Accommodation and dinner to a local guesthouse.
If we have time (daylight), take a short tour to the area in search for wildlife.
Day 2
At sunrise you’ll have a tour for forest birds and other wildlife. Come back to the accommodation around 10, for breakfast and let you some time for rest. Late lunch then enter to the Bears hide till sunset.
Day 3
Breakfast at a convenient hour then transfer to Bucharest/Brasov/Tulcea according to the circumstances.
Bookings
Request a booking implies acceptance of the terms and conditions.
Bookings are based on a 30% deposit of the price of the program. The payment options are: cash, online card payment, bank transfer or Revolut.
The rest of the payment have to be done 30 days before the tour start. If the tour is booked less then 30 days before departure, the full price will be paid.
Cancellation Policy:
More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
Personal Equipment
- Clothes suitable for this activity, for every season apart
- Color of the clothes is also very important. Please bring your clothes in colors more natural, as close to the colors of nature surrounding. Camouflage pattern on brown are best.
- Also, to the hides, noisy clothes (kind of waterproof jackets) are to avoid, use fleece instead.
As watching equipment should bring
Binoculars, photo camera, tripod.
